Have a Pint, Become a Priest

You can't make this stuff up. The Catholic Church in Westminster is looking to recruit priests from pub patrons:

The Church is launching a recruitment campaign that will
use beermats in pubs and posters on the London Underground to promote
the priesthood.

Beercations

Stewart at Beercations sent us a link to his site to check out. He says: “We have reviews, festivals, jokes, tips and much more about
our two favorite topics in the world, Beer and Holidays.”

Check it out. I've added it to our list of sites we like on the right.

Beer Advice from YOU!

I'm thinking of making my first micro brew.  Anyone have any recommendations, experiment failures, or successes they want to share?  Feel free to leave a comment.

Jim Koch from Boston Beer Company Commencement Speech

As my friends know, I recently graduated with my Master's degree from Bentley.  Hip Hip Hooray for me, right?  Well, this year's graduate ceremony had Jim Koch from the Boston Beer Company as the commencement speaker.

As speeches go, this was probably one of the best motivational speeches I have heard (throw your Tom Peters books in the trash kind of speech).  The speech can be found here if you want to read what wisdom is imparted to graduates students from one of the greatest brewmeisters.

In short, I think I agree with Jim; I'm passing on the money to pursue happiness in hopes that it will be my booby prize!
