Kelpie Reviewed at A Good Beer Blog

Alan at A Good Beer Blog has a post up about Kelpie. This beer would definitely be in my top ten if I was to create such a list. If you haven't had this yet, be sure to pick it up if you can. In my area, Whole Foods carries it (or did last time I was there).

Everyone Loves Pumpkin Beers

From your comments and an informal survey I took of my fellow tailgaters on Friday night at the pathetic excuse for football that was the UCF game, everyone likes pumpkin ales. Except me. Someone gave me a Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale and I actually liked it but that was because it didn't taste like pumpkin spice. Coors says it has pumpkin spices but neither I nor anyone else that had one thought so.

For those of you that likey the pumpkin, check out BeerAdvocate's list of over 100 pumpkin ales

Anchor Summer Ale

A few weeks ago, I wrote that I hoped I'd see Anchor Summer Ale here before summer ended. Well, Whole Foods must have been listening since I was able to pick up a 6-pack before football yesterday which made me very happy (it's the little things, really). The flavor wasn't as strong as Anchor Steam, but this was a solid ale and went well with the chips, dips, and nachos we had during the game. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 if I was into that sort of thing.

Wheat/Summer Beer Reviews at Hedonist Beer Jive

I love my fellow beer bloggers that take the time to write up nice reviews. Today's installment is Hedonist Beer Jive's review of summer/wheat beers.

I'm hoping I'll see the Anchor Summer Beer here before summer is over. I had Anchor Steam on draft for the first time on Saturday and love it just as much as the bottled variety. Unfortuntely, they didn't have the Anchor Porter on draft.

Porter Reviews at A Good Beer Blog

Dilema: I lover Porters. I suck at reviews. Solution: Read Alan's post over at A Good Beer Blog where he starts his review of seven porters. I'm interested to see what his take on the Flying Dog will be since I have mixed feelings on their beers.
